Albert (Eric ) W Erickson III I was born in 1946 the same year as three US Presidents, William Jefferson Clinton, George W Bush, and Donald Trump. I am by definition a first boomer, I was in the first wave of babies born after WWII and apparently part of the victory celebration. As to the similarities between myself and the others mentioned in this paragraph, none of us served in the major war of our generation, Viet Nam 1965-1975. I did serve in the US Army in 1970-1971 and came out a Captain, a remarkable achievement considering I didn’t really do much to obtain that rank other than join and complete ROTC at Kent State University in 1968. I will write a separate piece about that later. While I really can’t claim any great victories in the Service it did define my life more than I could ever have imagined.

By career, I was an investment banker for 35 years, now retired, trying to use what years I have remaining to wander the world and record with feeling and purpose all that I see. I use both the written word as well as a camera. This website will attempt to clarify the images the I include with words.

I do not have a photography background, but I had a father who was a hobby photographer and chronicler of life, so maybe somewhere in my chromosomes there is an archival gene that pushes me to do this project.

If it matters, and it shouldn’t, my work should speak for itself, I have an undergraduate degree from Kent State University and two Master degrees from The Ohio State University. I am married with two grown sons and three grandchildren.
